Loki was a German Shepherd/Border Colie Mix. I found him at Escondido Humane Society, where he had been for a year. People kept picking him up and bringing him back because he was very high-strung and reactive. I took him to Hidden Valley Obedience Club, where he did very well (even though we had to hang back due to his reactivity). After a few more months of private training, I learned how to manage his particular anxiety.
Loki and I developed the most amazing bond I have ever experienced. He was smart, energetic, athletic, protective, and the most loving dog ever. He had such an amazing personality (he loved barking at the UPS truck)! We had nine and a half amazing years together, and losing him was devastating. But knowing that he lived his best life was the greatest blessing and I will cherish our memories forever.
